SCB Fish Ltd – What We’re Really Doing
We started this whole thing because the cost of food in Cornwall is taking the mick.
People want fresh fish, not whatever supermarkets pretend is “fresh,” and definitely not at a daylight-robbery price. So we decided to fix it the Cornish way: cut the nonsense, work with proper local fishmongers, and get good fish to normal people for a fair price.
Where We're Going
• Expanding soon into Devon, then the rest of the UK.
• So whether you’re at home, on holiday, or stuck somewhere without a decent fish counter, you’ll still get proper fresh fish delivered.
Why We Keep It Simple
• Minimal packaging.
• Zero pointless plastic.
• Vacuum-packed portions, clearly labelled.
• QR codes on every pack: scan to see nutrition, allergies, storage, and cooking recipes.
No guessing. No faff.
Our Goal
Make fresh fish affordable again.
Not “artisan.” Not “premium.”
Just fresh, local, and priced like it should be.
Simple. Cheaper. Better.
A Quick Note While the Site Is Still Being Built
The website is still under construction, so you might spot the odd glitch here and there. Don’t panic. With ongoing updates (and a fair bit of swearing behind the scenes), everything will be polished soon. We’re improving it fast.
A Word About Our Drivers
Our delivery drivers work insanely hard. They’re the backbone of this whole thing, and they make sure your fish gets to you fresh, chilled and on time, even in weather that would make a gull cry.
Please treat them with respect. They’re doing their best every day, and in this world, people like them are rare.
Delivery Timing
We don’t offer exact timed deliveries.
Trying to guarantee a precise hour in Cornwall is like trying to teach a crab to juggle. If you need us to aim for a certain time, we’ll try, but no promises. Fresh fish doesn’t run on a strict timetable.
